To reach Fenfushi Island, you have two convenient options:
Local Ferry: The ferry from Malé to Fenfushi departs daily at 3 pm, except on Fridays. This scenic journey takes around 2 hours, giving you a relaxed ride across the ocean to the island. For return trips, the ferry leaves Fenfushi at 6:45 am, arriving in Malé by 8:45 am. This is a budget-friendly option for travelers looking to enjoy the local mode of transport.
Domestic Flight: For a quicker option, you can take 20 minutes domestic flight from Malé to Maamigili Airport, which is located very close to Fenfushi Island. There are three flights daily between Malé and Maamigili, providing easy access throughout the day, though note that there are no night flights available. Once you land, it’s a short boat transfer to Fenfushi, making this an ideal choice for those seeking faster and more flexible travel.
